Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) has reached an agreement with the Philippine Tennis Center for Excellence, Inc. (PTCEI) to build a new International Tennis Center. The signing ceremony took place on April 24, 2026. This new facility will be located within the Vermosa estate and will serve as the official home for the Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA).
The development is part of a larger plan to turn Vermosa into a top destination for those seeking an active lifestyle. The Philippine Tennis Academy was established by philanthropists Oscar Hilado and Romeo Chan. It focuses on developing local talent and has a history of producing international competitors and scholar-athletes from various backgrounds.
The PTA International Tennis Center is designed as a high-performance hub. It will include eight tennis competition courts and one center court. There will also be sixteen pickleball courts for public and professional use. To support the athletes, the site will feature training and wellness rooms. The Athletes’ Quarters on site will have the capacity to house between 60 to 80 trainees at any one time.
While the primary focus is on elite training, the center will be open to the general public. This allows local residents to access professional coaching and high-quality courts. The project is expected to improve the existing Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub by adding a dedicated tennis ecosystem to the area.
John Estacio, Vermosa Senior Project Development Head, stated: “Vermosa is designed as an integrated estate where education, sports, and community come together. Partnerships like the Philippine Tennis Academy allow us to create long-term value not just for residents, but for the broader community.”
The leadership at the PTA noted the social importance of the new site. In a joint statement, they said: “This is more than a training facility—it is a platform for opportunity. By opening our doors beyond our elite program, we are creating a space where every Filipino—regardless of background—can access the sport, discover their potential, and be part of a growing tennis community. Together with Ayala Land, we are building not just future champions, but a stronger, more inclusive sporting culture for the country.”
The project supports the goal of developing Filipino talent to its full potential within a modern, integrated community.
