Manchester United has announced the location for its proposed 100,000-seater stadium, situated 350 metres from Old Trafford. The venue forms the centrepiece of the Trafford Wharfside masterplan, a 150-hectare regeneration project backed by Trafford Council and regional authorities. The project aims to create 48,000 jobs and 15,000 homes, delivering a projected £7.3 billion annual boost to the UK economy.
Arctos Sports has joined forces with RVX Ventures and Magellan Development Group to form a national sports-anchored real estate platform. The venture will focus on building large-scale entertainment districts near major stadiums. Their maiden project is the Neyland Entertainment District in Tennessee. The mixed-use site will feature a 24-story hotel, retail space and luxury residential properties on the waterfront.
Ayala Land has partnered with the Philippine Tennis Center for Excellence to launch a new International Tennis Center in Vermosa. The facility will house the Philippine Tennis Academy and feature nine tennis courts and sixteen pickleball courts. Designed for both elite athletes and the public, the center aims to improve local sports infrastructure and provide a high-performance training ground for the next generation of Filipino champions.
Lucra and Great Linqx have partnered to launch a gamified sports entertainment concept across the United States. Using Lucra’s mobile technology, Great Linqx will offer real-money tournaments and skill-based challenges at its new mixed-use venues. The first location is set to open in 2027. The project targets mid-sized cities and aims to combine competitive gaming with community living and dining.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and Walkers Tours have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka. This agreement establishes a formal framework for hospitality and transport to support international athletes and Olympic officials. By aligning private sector expertise with the national sporting body, the partners aim to improve Sri Lanka's ability to host major tournaments and training camps.

Harris County has approved the 83-acre Toro District in Bridgeland. This public-private partnership with the Houston Texans and Howard Hughes Communities includes a 22-acre team headquarters and training facility. The project features $150 million in infrastructure funding and aims to generate $34 billion in economic impact. Moving from NRG Stadium, the Texans seek a world-class environment for operations while providing new jobs and community resources for the growing northwest Houston corridor.
