Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced that its cloud technology is fundamentally changing how Thai real estate customers buy and own homes. The announcement highlights the success of Sansiri Public Company Limited, one of the country’s largest developers, following its large-scale deployment of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) on the AWS platform.
Sansiri’s initiative represents the first major Gen AI solution in Thailand’s property sector. The technology has helped the firm accelerate customer response times by 30 per cent and increase customer satisfaction scores by 25 per cent. The cloud tools have also streamlined thousands of transactions, according to the AWS release.
Mr. Kavin Manomaiudom, Assistant Executive Vice President, Information Technology Department, Sansiri PLC, said: “With AWS, we’re reimagining what it means to buy and own a home in Thailand. Generative AI allows us to serve customers with greater speed, clarity, and personalization, while giving our employees powerful tools to shape the future of Thai communities. This is just the beginning of how we’ll use the cloud to deliver better living experiences.”
The real estate industry is a high-value sector crucial to Thailand’s economic expansion. Sansiri is using the AWS platform to serve its vast operation, which includes over 3,000 employees and customers across 500 property projects.
The key customer-facing technology is the ChatX Assistant. It is powered by Amazon Bedrock, specifically using Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Haiku and Claude 4 Sonnet. The assistant functions as a digital concierge, giving instant information to staff and property buyers on crucial topics like zoning rules, construction progress, and financing options for all 500-plus projects. This simplifies complex decisions for customers and reduces the workload for Sansiri’s service teams.
Internally, Sansiri is streamlining backend processes to improve buyer experience. Its optical character recognition (OCR) system, also built on Amazon Bedrock, processes over 50,000 invoices per month with an accuracy exceeding 90 per cent. This has cut document processing time by half. The freed-up staff are now focusing on customer care and innovation, with teams currently exploring Agentic AI to implement automated workflows with the OCR system. Further supporting their infrastructure, Amazon Q Developer has boosted software development productivity by 30 per cent while simultaneously cutting compute costs by 20 per cent.
Vatsun Thirapatarapong, country manager, AWS Thailand, said: “Southeast Asia’s real estate industry is undergoing rapid digital transformation, and AI is at the center of that change. Sansiri’s success shows how developers can use AWS services to streamline operations, improve customer trust, and set new benchmarks for the home buying and ownership experience.”
