The global investment firm H.I.G. Capital has launched Highground Living, a €1 billion German residential property platform based in Berlin. The business consolidates the firm's current regional assets alongside a new €450 million acquisition in Leipzig and Dresden. The platform targets long term sector growth driven by widespread structural housing shortages and resilient tenant demand.
The American property firm GID has announced a major expansion of its residential development platform into the Texas market. Directed by industry veteran Matt Miller, the initiative targets regional housing demand, rising populations and job growth. The group plans to build on its existing multi-state pipeline, utilising its integrated property management, construction and design capabilities to deliver new multifamily housing communities across high-priority regions.
The architecture practice Snøhetta has revealed designs for Sweetbird North, an 8-story mixed-use development in the Miami Design District. The 120,000 square foot project for Raycliff Capital features workspace, retail units and a hurricane-resistant stainless steel mesh façade. The scheme marks a structural shift toward greater density in the area, incorporating integrated vertical gardens and outdoor office terraces.
A consortium led by Frasers Property has submitted the highest bid of S$2.1 billion for the Bayshore Drive mixed-use site in Singapore. Spanning over 57,000 square metres, this key parcel will form the only integrated transport, retail and residential hub in the new Bayshore precinct, linking directly to Bedok South MRT station and a new bus interchange.
Saudi Downtown Company has signed a major agreement with national firm Ansab Company. The deal covers the comprehensive design and construction of critical infrastructure works for the Downtown Al Khobar project. The contract will focus on developing roads, implementation networks and street lighting to build an integrated urban environment that supports long term economic growth in the region.
Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and global investment manager I Squared Capital have signed a memorandum of understanding. The agreement outlines plans for I Squared to invest up to $2 billion in real estate and infrastructure assets owned by the sovereign wealth fund and its portfolio companies, focusing heavily on digital infrastructure and district cooling systems across the Kingdom.
