TPG Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation’s leading hospitality management firms, has announced the appointment of Patrick Short as President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Short will oversee operational strategy and provide cross-discipline leadership across the company’s expanding portfolio of properties nationwide.

Short returns to TPG Hotels & Resorts, having previously served as Vice President of Operations earlier in his career. He brings over 30 years of hospitality leadership experience, spanning more than 25 brands across all segments, including full-service, select-service, extended stay, independent, lifestyle, resort, dual-branded properties, and restaurants. His operational expertise covers properties of all sizes, from boutique hotels to large convention centres and resorts, across the United States.

Throughout his career, Short has held senior leadership roles at CSM Corporation, Peachtree Hospitality Management, Wischermann Partners, Kinseth Hospitality Companies, and TPG. Notably, as President of Peachtree Hospitality Management, he expanded the company’s portfolio from 27 to 100 hotels, overseeing more than 10,000 rooms, and guided the firm into the top 15 largest hotel management companies in the U.S. Under his leadership, Peachtree achieved notable growth in RevPAR Index, profitability, guest satisfaction scores, and team member engagement.

Short holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and an MBA in Finance from Argosy University – Twin Cities. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) through the American Hotel & Lodging Association and also holds a Food Safety Certification. Based in Minnesota, he will now operate from TPG’s national operations headquarters in McKinney, Texas.
