The property is transitioning to IHG's voco hotels brand. It will be a family-friendly, sports-focused all-inclusive destination, with the first phase of upgrades due in early 2026. The renovation includes refreshed rooms, over six new food and beverage concepts, and expanded sports and meeting facilities.

Global lifestyle operator Kerten Hospitality is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia with the announcement of the Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort - Dammam.
