Property giant Megaworld is set to expand its footprint in northern Luzon with the introduction of a first-of-its-kind Beach Club. This new facility will be located within the 84-hectare Ilocandia Coastown development in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. The project follows strong demand for the township’s initial beachside residential village.

The Ilocandia Beach Club will occupy a prime spot along the development’s 1.4-kilometer coastline. It is designed to be the first authentic beach club in the city. The developers have looked to the vibrant atmosphere of Sentosa Island in Singapore for architectural inspiration.

The site will host a central beach club building with immediate access to the sand. This will be supported by a promenade featuring various shops, cafes and alfresco dining spots. Inside the main facility, guests can expect a high-end fitness centre, adult and children’s pools and relaxation zones. The layout also includes walking and jogging paths and private VIP lounges with clear views of the sea.

“Our goal is to offer a unique, vibrant, and exciting beachside township experience in Ilocandia Coastown. We envision Ilocandia Beach Club to be the township’s flagship lifestyle hub and the definitive centerpiece of the Ilocandia Coastown experience where guests can enjoy a unique beachside lifestyle. This will further highlight Ilocandia Coastown’s identity as a premier destination in this side of Ilocos Norte,” says May Santos, head of sales and marketing, Ilocandia Coastown.

The design focuses on the ocean as the primary visual element. A central breezy arcade will act as the main path for visitors and will lead them toward various amenities. The coastal theme will be reflected on the shore through the use of beach loungers and striped umbrellas.

Work on the land for Ilocandia Coastown is scheduled to begin early next year. As the first integrated township in the Ilocos Region, the site will eventually include a lifestyle mall, office spaces, hotels and a shophouse district. The location is strategically placed next to the Fort Ilocandia Hotel. It is situated less than 10 minutes from the airport and roughly 30 minutes from the UNESCO-listed Paoay Church.
