The Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority (SGCCA) and global hospitality leader Hilton (NYSE: HLT) have officially broken ground on the Signia by Hilton Savannah, a 444-room hotel set to open in mid-2028. The property, owned by SGCCA and developed in partnership with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), will serve as the Savannah Convention Center’s headquarters hotel and be managed by Hilton.
Following the success of Signia by Hilton Atlanta, this new Savannah property marks the brand’s debut in the city, bringing approachable luxury and a focus on meetings and events directly to the riverfront convention centre campus. The hotel is designed to serve both leisure and business travellers, offering premium amenities and world-class meeting facilities.

The hotel is being co-developed by Songy Highroads and Matthews Southwest Hospitality and will feature over 34,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom, five food and beverage outlets, an outdoor pool, and Club Signia, an elevated premium guest offering. The hotel will be directly connected to the convention center, providing seamless access for events and conferences.

The hotel’s design will feature a grand arrival lobby with locally inspired architecture, contemporary guest rooms with Smart Room technology, multiple dining options including a rooftop bar, a fitness and wellness centre, and state-of-the-art conference facilities. Guests will also have access to Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program.
The Signia by Hilton Savannah adds to the brand’s expanding portfolio of premium properties, including the recent international debut in Amman and the planned 2026 opening in Indianapolis.
