A significant new cultural destination is set to transform the landscape of Madinah following the launch of the Alsirah Gardens project. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of the Madinah Region, recently laid the foundation stone for the flagship development. The project is being spearheaded by QSAS, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) that specialises in immersive storytelling.
The new site focuses on the “sirah,” or Prophetic Biography, and aims to offer a modern perspective on Islamic history. By combining nature and architecture with spiritual education, the gardens will provide a unique environment for pilgrims and tourists alike. The destination is designed to allow visitors to engage with key historical moments through interactive and contemporary experiences.
Alsirah Gardens represents a major expansion of the existing “Alsirah” brand. It builds upon the “Journey to Quba” and “Bustan Al-Mustadal” experiences, which serve as the foundation for the broader development. Once fully operational, the site is expected to accommodate 10 million visitors every year, establishing it as a world-class cultural hub.
Eng. Yasser Al-Dawood, Chairman of QSAS, highlighted the importance of the project for the local community. He stated: “Investing in cultural experiences is a fundamental pillar in fostering awareness and strengthening local identity. The project will generate significant economic and social impact by creating high-quality job opportunities, empowering national talent, supporting small and medium enterprises, and enhancing quality of life.”
The development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Tourism Strategy, which targets 150 million annual visitors by the end of the decade. QSAS works alongside other major PIF leisure investments, such as the Diriyah giga-project and Dan Company, to diversify the Kingdom’s entertainment offerings. The project also supports the Pilgrim Experience Program, ensuring that those visiting the holy cities have access to high-quality, educational attractions.
