Hyatt Hotels Corporation has celebrated the official opening of the Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve. This latest addition to the brand’s portfolio in Portugal follows the extensive rebranding of the former Dom Pedro Vilamoura. The property is now managed by DETAILS – Hospitality, Sports, Leisure, which serves as the management platform for Arrow Global in the region.

Located in the coastal town of Vilamoura, the upper-upscale resort is situated a short distance from the local marina and Praia da Falésia. It offers direct access to several famous golf courses, including the Old Course Vilamoura and The Els Club Vilamoura. The hotel is designed to serve a mix of families, sports enthusiasts and business travellers.

“The opening of Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve reinforces Hyatt’s commitment to brand growth in Portugal and the broader European market. This property shows our vision of the Hyatt Regency brand, combining contemporary design, exceptional service, and vibrant leisure and business offerings. The hotel’s prime location in Vilamoura, along with its focus on sports, wellness, and gastronomy, ensures an outstanding experience for our diverse guests. We are excited to welcome travelers to explore and experience the Algarve coast in a whole new way,” said Manuel Melenchon, Managing Director, Southern EMEA, Hyatt.

The hotel features 257 guestrooms and 21 suites, with interiors inspired by local materials such as terracotta and sand. Amenities include three distinct dining venues: Brasa Coastal Steakhouse, the Terrace Pool Bar and Lume Lounge Bar. For corporate events, the property provides nearly 1,000 square metres of function space, including a ballroom capable of hosting 300 guests.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve,” said Javier Soler Muñoz, General Manager. “This property celebrates the beauty, culture, and spirit of Algarve, while offering modern, comfortable, and energizing spaces. From outstanding sports and wellness facilities, to immersive dining experiences, we look forward to creating memorable stays for every guest.”

Beyond the hotel, guests can visit local attractions such as the Roman Ruins of Cerro da Vila and the town of Loulé. Francisco Moser, Co-CEO of DETAILS, noted that the collaboration with Hyatt strengthens Vilamoura’s standing as a premier destination in Europe.
