CapMan Real Estate has signed a forward funding agreement with Reliwe for two new multifamily housing projects in the Stockholm area. The deal includes sites in Barkarby and Flemingsberg which will provide a combined total of 478 apartments. The development also features 154 parking spaces and 10 units dedicated to commercial use. This acquisition is part of a broader strategy by CapMan to grow its residential footprint in Sweden, where it now manages a portfolio of about 2,000 apartments.
The chosen locations are noted for their strong micro-locations and proximity to essential infrastructure. Residents will be able to reach Stockholm city centre in under 25 minutes via public transport. The firm expects the transaction to conclude in March 2026. Construction work is planned to start almost immediately after the closing. The Barkarby site will be built by Consto and is scheduled for completion in the final quarter of 2028. Meanwhile, Hanssons Hus Entreprenad will handle the Flemingsberg project, which is expected to be finished by the second quarter of 2028.
Environmental performance is a priority for these developments. Both projects aim to meet high sustainability criteria and align with the EU Taxonomy. The buildings will incorporate solar panels and charging points for electric vehicles. Additionally, the projects will offer residents access to shared car and bicycle pools to encourage greener commuting. CapMan Real Estate continues to view the residential sector as a primary focus for its investment activities in the Nordics.
