SF REIT Asset Management Limited has announced that Alan Lam Chung Chi will take over as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer next year. The appointment becomes effective following the conclusion of the company’s annual general meeting on 12 May 2026. Mr Lam is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the manager for SF Real Estate Investment Trust.
The 46 year old executive joined the firm as Chief Strategy Officer in May 2025 before moving into his current deputy role in December. His professional background includes tenures as Chief Financial Officer at China Logistics Property Holdings Company Limited and VX Logistics Development Co. Ltd. He also spent a portion of his earlier career as an Audit Partner at KPMG. Mr Lam holds a business degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and maintains several professional qualifications, including status as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He takes the reins from Hubert Chak, who has shared his intention to retire from the board and the top executive post. Mr Chak joined the SF Group in October 2020 and played a central role in the trust’s 2021 listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. To help with the transition of power, Mr Chak will stay on as a Responsible Officer under the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
Regarding his departure, “Mr. CHAK has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and that there is no matter relating to his retirement that needs to be brought to the attention of the unitholders of SF REIT (“Unitholders”).” The board noted that he helped create a stable environment for investor distributions during his five years of service.
The company confirmed that Mr Lam does not currently hold any units in SF REIT. His contract does not have a fixed term and requires three months of notice for termination. As an Executive Director, he will not be required to stand for rotation or re-election at future annual meetings. His remuneration will be paid directly by the manager. The board has formally welcomed Mr Lam to his upcoming role as he prepares to lead the trust’s next phase of growth.
