IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a major deal with Vinhomes Green Paradise to open four hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. This partnership introduces the Holiday Inn Express and Garner brands to Vietnam for the first time. With over 1,000 rooms planned, the project aims to turn the Can Gio coastal area into a global tourism hub capable of welcoming 40 million annual visitors.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed long-term franchise agreements to add 11 hotels across Germany, Belgium and France. The deal will bring more than 1,800 rooms to the group’s Holiday Inn, voco and Garner brands. These properties, currently operating under the PentaHotels name, are expected to join the IHG system by the first half of 2027 following their conversion.
Minor Hotels is set to debut its premium Colbert Collection brand in the UK with the opening of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London in late 2026. Minor Hotels has confirmed the signing of two new Anantara properties in India, marking a major step in its regional growth. The expansion includes the brand’s first Indian resort in the Western Ghats and its debut urban hotel in Kolkata. These developments are part of a wider plan by the global group to reach a target of 50 properties across the country within the next decade.
Marriott Bonvoy has expanded its Singapore presence with the opening of Varel Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Located in the Selegie district, the 128-room boutique property occupies the former site of Selegie Centre. Designed by FDAT, the hotel blends heritage-inspired architecture with modern amenities, featuring a rooftop infinity pool and four unique dining venues that celebrate the local arts and culture scene.
Sun Group and Marriott International have signed a major agreement to develop 10 new hotels and resorts in Vietnam by 2030. The partnership will add nearly 4,500 rooms in Phu Quoc and Vung Tau, introducing brands like W Hotels and Moxy to the country. This expansion supports Vietnam's goal of becoming a top global destination and strengthens its infrastructure ahead of international events like APEC 2027.
