Hilton has unveiled the opening of Conrad Hamburg, its first Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Germany, setting a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the country’s northern port city. Located within the iconic Levantehaus, a celebrated Art Nouveau landmark dating back to 1912, the hotel introduces 283 rooms and suites designed to reflect Hamburg’s maritime character while offering contemporary sophistication.

The property honours the cultural and artistic spirit of its historic setting with a curated collection of works from German contemporary artists. Among the highlights is Ada Isensee’s striking coloured leaded glass ceiling, visible across all floors, serving as a dramatic centrepiece that ties the interiors together.

Accommodation ranges from studios equipped with kitchenettes to an expansive 232-square-metre Presidential Suite, which includes a private balcony and fireplace. Many rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the city’s skyline, complemented by interiors that draw inspiration from Hamburg’s industrial heritage through a palette of deep blues, greys, reds and copper tones.

“With Conrad Hamburg, we’re not just expanding our award-winning luxury brand, we’re making a statement about our commitment to Europe’s most iconic destinations and to the German market. Hamburg’s maritime heritage, vibrant cultural scene and thriving business hub make it a great destination for both business and leisure travellers, and the ideal setting for Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Germany. This launch brings our distinctive approach to luxury hospitality to this dynamic city,” said Simon Vincent CBE, president, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Hilton.

The hotel is set to introduce a 1,000-square-metre spa and wellness area, which will include Hamburg’s longest indoor pool, alongside a fitness centre, sauna, steam bath and a wide range of treatments. Event facilities span nine venues, ranging from intimate boardrooms to larger spaces accommodating up to 220 guests.

Dining at Conrad Hamburg is centred around GRETA OTO, a restaurant celebrating the flavours of Latin America. Its menu showcases dishes such as Peruvian ceviche, Brazilian beef tenderloin, and grilled octopus, with seating for over 150 guests across its elegant dining room and sunlit terrace. Guests can also enjoy private dining at La Mesa or cocktails at the GRETA OTO Bar, while a cigar lounge offers a more intimate retreat.

“The debut of Conrad Hamburg expands our guests’ opportunities to immerse themselves in one of Europe’s most dynamic cultural destinations. Through our personalised approach to artful and authentic hospitality, we invite both visitors and locals to discover Hamburg’s remarkable heritage through meaningful experiences that allow guests to connect deeply with the city’s rich cultural landscape,” said Dino Michael, senior vice president and category head, luxury brands, Hilton.

Positioned in the heart of Hamburg’s Kunstmeile, the property places visitors within walking distance of City Hall, the Alster lakes, HafenCity, and the Elbphilharmonie. With strong transport links to the central station and the airport, the hotel is primed for both international travellers and domestic visitors.

Rates start from €300 per night for double occupancy, with Hilton Honors members enjoying preferential rates beginning at €250. Members can also earn bonus points on qualifying stays as part of the launch offer.
