Global hospitality group Hilton has signed an agreement with ELE Spa to launch its premium economy brand in Italy.

The 118-room Spark by Hilton Milan Linate Airport will mark the brand’s official Italian debut when it opens later this year. The property will expand Hilton’s active or planned footprint in Italy to 11 distinct brands, representing its first move into the regional premium economy hotel segment.

The upcoming hotel is located 500 metres from Milan Linate Airport, allowing travellers to reach the terminal building in roughly 10 minutes on foot or five minutes by car. The site connects directly to the centre of Milan via the M4 metro line, taking about 12 minutes, while the Milano Centrale railway station sits between a 15 and 20 minute drive away.

Guest rooms will feature functional designs including streamlined furniture, multi-purpose work surfaces, open closets and Zero% bathroom amenities. The communal areas are styled to offer multi-functional seating options ranging from standard tables to rocking chairs. On-site facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, three dedicated meeting rooms and a fully equipped gym, alongside a 24-hour retail market and a signature hydration cart providing complimentary whole fruit and water.

“We’re delighted to bring the Spark by Hilton brand to Italy. This marks an important milestone for our growth in the market and enables us to meet rising demand for premium economy accommodation. With its reliable essentials and friendly service, Spark by Hilton is a great fit for travellers who want to make the most of their budget, whilst experiencing the quality standards they expect from a stay with Hilton. Ideally located near Linate Airport, this hotel will become our 10th property in Milan, offering value without compromise and providing a convenient base for both business and leisure guests,” said Alan Mantin, vice president, development, Southern Europe, Hilton.

This launch expands Hilton’s pipeline and operational portfolio in Italy to more than 130 hotels. Recent arrivals include the Puccini Hotel Milan, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum. Future projects include the Quiete Taormina Naxos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and the Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo.

“We’re excited to be working on our fifth project with Hilton and to be launching Spark by Hilton in Italy. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us, and we look forward to opening the property later this year and welcoming guests to Milan,” said Fabiano Rebecchini, chairman, ELE Spa.
