Minor Hotels has launched reservations for Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River, its first tented safari property in Zambia. Situated in Kafue National Park, the eco-friendly 13-key resort features structures elevated on timber platforms to protect local wildlife corridors. The luxury development marks a major milestone in Anantara's 25th anniversary year and supports regional ecological restoration.
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has chosen Minor Hotels to manage the Sharjah Collection, a regional portfolio of seven eco-focused boutique properties. The international operator will integrate the coastal, desert and mountain retreats into its luxury network after a series of upgrades, boosting global reach while protecting local heritage.
Design Hotels has announced its largest portfolio expansion to date by adding 16 properties operated by US hospitality group Palisociety. The deal integrates over 1,000 keys across nine American destinations into its global network. Founded by entrepreneur Lauren Papa, DC, the firm specialises in turning distressed architectural assets into high-end single-family homes. The strategy avoids standard renovation formulas, focusing instead on historical preservation, upcycled materials, sustainable infrastructure and asset-specific repositioning to deliver premium turnkey properties.
Marriott International has signed a landmark agreement with KS Hotels to introduce The Luxury Collection to Cambodia and Laos. The deal involves rebranding two storied properties, La Résidence Angkor and La Résidence Phou Vao, marking Marriott’s first hotel in Laos. Both heritage sites will undergo thoughtful upgrades before reopening in 2026 and 2027 to offer elevated luxury in these major UNESCO World Heritage destinations.
