ACWA Power and Bapco Energies have entered into a Joint Development Agreement for a major solar power plant situated in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. Announced at the Saudi–Bahraini Coordination Council meeting in December 2025, the project’s initiative is to support Bahrain's national energy needs and accelerate its shift to renewables, while reinforcing its role as a regional energy export hub.
DigiCo Infrastructure REIT has appointed Michael Juniper as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Digital Infrastructure. Juniper, who previously helped scale AirTrunk into a leading Asia-Pacific hyperscale platform, is expected to accelerate DigiCo’s data centre expansion to meet surging demand for cloud and AI services. Watts Water Technologies Inc., a world leader in water solutions, has successfully purchased Saudi Cast. This strategic purchase was completed on December 1, 2025. It was financed using Watts’ existing cash reserves. Saudi Cast brings annualised sales of about $20 million to Watts. The acquired business will now operate within the APMEA regional segment. The move expands Watts’ operational reach in the Middle East.
Elsewedy Industrial Development has signed a major agreement with Kunming Chuanjinnuo Chemical Co. (CJN) to build a phosphate chemical industries complex in Egypt. The project will be located in Sokhna 360 and involves a total investment of nearly USD 1 billion. It aims to produce fertilisers, specialty chemicals and electric vehicle battery materials. The initiative is expected to create 10,000 jobs and position Egypt as a regional hub for new energy materials.
Industrial property firm CTP and energy provider ČEZ ESCO have officially opened a major new 5.5 megawatt (MW) rooftop solar power installation in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. The combined project, located across CTPark Brno and CTPark Brno South, marks the largest of its type in the area. The facilities are expected to generate over 5.2 GWh of clean energy annually, which is enough to power around 1,500 average households.
Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, head of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), has signed a $1 billion investment agreement with the Zimbabwean government. The deal was formalised following a meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa in Harare. The funds will be directed towards key strategic sectors in Zimbabwe. These include cement manufacturing, power generation, fertiliser production and infrastructure. The cornerstone of the investment is a petroleum pipeline project.
