Abu Dhabi has announced a 1.7 billion US dollar investment to build the world's second Sphere entertainment venue on Yas Island. Expected to open by the end of 2029, the high-tech 20,000-capacity structure will host concerts, live sports and immersive cultural exhibitions. The project forms part of a wider strategy to diversify the economy and establish the emirate as a premier global tourism destination.
Dubai South and Majid Al Futtaim have partnered to launch a massive AED 62 billion mixed-use community spanning 22 million square feet. Saudi Arabia has launched a major public-private partnership project to upgrade 50 public parks across three regions. The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Center for Privatization & PPP are inviting local and international investors to manage the 15-year project. Partnering with an Apollo-led consortium, the investment supports the development of the world’s largest single offshore wind farm off the Norfolk coast. The 2.9GW project will eventually power over 3.3 million UK homes, contributing significantly to the nation’s 2030 renewable energy targets and net zero ambitions.
