Construction has officially started on a 100MW AI-ready data centre facility at Oxagon, the coastal industrial city within NEOM.
The project is being delivered through a partnership between HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund business focused on artificial intelligence capabilities, and Saudi digital infrastructure company DataVolt. Announced at LEAP, the 100MW build serves as the first section of a 360MW opening phase. The inaugural capacity should be fully operational by 2028.
The high-density site is designed to process demanding artificial intelligence and cloud computing workloads. The design integrates renewable power solutions, custom cooling technologies and high-performance hardware clusters. HUMAIN brings technical expertise across the software and computing stack to the table, whilst DataVolt handles the funding, construction and operational management.

For DataVolt, breaking ground signals the start of a much larger vision. The initial 360MW phase represents the start of a proposed 1.5GW industrial campus at Oxagon, expanding on its operational pipeline across the Kingdom and Central Asia.

The joint venture benefits directly from Oxagon’s ready-to-build industrial plots, direct energy links and low-latency subsea cable networks running straight into Europe and Africa. Global demand for intensive computing power continues to climb, making fast power access and operational efficiency critical factors for data site viability.
