Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has launched Tawrid Company for Financing Solutions, a digital platform designed to offer supply-chain financing products across the Saudi Arabian market.

Tawrid has secured a permit from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to operate within its regulatory Sandbox environment. The platform connects buyers, suppliers and funders, offering services such as early settlement options against approved invoices to help firms improve liquidity management, working capital efficiency and operational expansion.

The development aligns with PIF’s aim to grow the private sector’s contribution to the local economy and expand its involvement in PIF projects and portfolio companies. The financial services sector serves as a strategic enabler across six key ecosystems outlined in PIF’s 2026-2030 strategy.

By allowing registered local banks to interact directly with registered suppliers, Tawrid intends to deepen supply chains, advance the digital trade environment and support financial diversification. PIF described its entry into supply-chain financing as a natural extension of its efforts to improve market resilience and encourage local suppliers to expand their capabilities.

Sultan Alsheikh, Head of Financial Institutions in MENA Investments at PIF, said: “Tawrid will make Saudi supply chains stronger and more resilient by further enabling companies to access financing and improve their liquidity management. Its supply-chain financing products will enable businesses to operate with greater agility and efficiency, creating opportunities for the Saudi private sector in particular.”

Tawrid has already commenced operations and entered binding agreements with prominent local financial institutions and corporates, including Gulf International Bank (GIB), Saudi National Bank (SNB), Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), ROSHN Group and Nesma & Partners.

PIF is one of the world’s most impactful investors, with a long-term investment strategy to further drive the economic transformation of Saudi Arabia and deliver sustainable financial returns.
