European banking group BNP Paribas is setting up its Philippine operations at Uptown Bonifacio, occupying office space within the Uptown Eastgate tower in Taguig City.
Operating as BNP Paribas Solutions Philippines, the facility will function as a strategic delivery centre supporting the bank’s Corporate and Institutional Banking business globally.
Headquartered in Paris, BNP Paribas ranks 58th on the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list and holds over USD 3.2 trillion in managed assets, making it the world’s seventh-largest bank. The banking group employs more than 180,000 workers across 64 countries and territories.
The move places the financial institution alongside other global firms in Uptown Bonifacio, including JPMorganChase, Google, Tesla, Coca-Cola and Reckitt Mead Johnson. JPMorganChase currently occupies two office towers in the township covering around 140,000 square metres.
Francis Roxas, head of Megaworld Global Offices, said: “BNP Paribas’ arrival in Uptown Bonifacio reflects the confidence of global companies in the township as a strategic location for their operations. Master-planned business districts within Megaworld townships provide access to talent, connectivity, mobility, and amenities that support productivity and employee experience. This gives companies the advantage of operating in a complete environment designed around both business and people.”
The 31-story, LEED Gold-certified Uptown Eastgate offers approximately 100,000 square metres of gross leasable area, featuring floor plates of up to 5,000 square metres alongside smart building infrastructure. It stands as the largest office tower by gross leasable area within Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
Uptown Bonifacio houses seven office towers hosting over 30 major domestic and multinational companies, with a combined workforce exceeding 60,000 professionals. Property developer Megaworld controls nearly 900,000 square metres of office space in BGC alone, representing over half of its national office portfolio of 1.7 million square metres. Megaworld recorded around 200,000 square metres in completed office lease deals across the first nine months of 2026.
