Hyatt Hotels Corporation has added Impression Isla Mujeres, a 123-suite adults-only resort off the coast of Cancún, Mexico, to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

Situated at Punta Sur on the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, the all-inclusive property operates in a sheltered coastal area largely clear of sargassum. Each suite includes a private terrace, alongside infinity pools, private Mayan soaking tubs, wellness cabanas, yoga hammocks and TRX fitness facilities.

The architectural layout incorporates works by Mexican artist César López Negrete, architect Javier Uma and marine life artist Wyland. Guests have access to seven dining venues offering Italian, pan-Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean menus, in addition to five bars and lounges.

Tamara Lohan, Global Brand Leader – Luxury, Hyatt, said: “Isla Mujeres, the ‘Island of Women’ has long been associated with Ixchel, the Maya goddess of fertility, healing and the moon. That, together with the island’s landscape graceful integration into the property, makes it the perfect setting for couples seeking a romantic stay. As we celebrate 10 years of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, I’m thrilled to welcome a resort that captures that spirit of individuality so beautifully and to introduce more guests to this very special corner of Mexico.”

Since opening in 2023 under the Impression by Secrets brand, the property has funded local marine initiatives through a partnership with the non-profit Saving Our Sharks Foundation. A portion of room revenue supports shark-tagging excursions, guest snorkelling and alternative income programs for local fishers.

Mourad Essafi, General Manager, Impression Isla Mujeres, said: “From the beginning, our goal has been to shape the resort around Isla Mujeres’ exceptional setting, while creating meaningful connections with our guests. Joining The Unbound Collection by Hyatt recognizes the individuality we’ve sought to create, and we look forward to introducing it to more travelers while continuing the luxury all-inclusive hospitality our guests know and return for.”

The transition coincides with the 10th anniversary of The Unbound Collection in 2026. The portfolio recently added THE BARAI HUA HIN in Thailand, Hôtel Palais de la Méditerranée in France, The Georgian and Hotel 1000 in the US, and The Clayfield in Canada, with Casa Duhau in Argentina expected to join in late 2027.
