Hyatt Hotels Corporation has launched Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu, marking the brand’s first property in the historic water town of Jiaxing, China. The 241-room hotel expands the company’s footprint across the Yangtze River Delta region, targeting both corporate and leisure travellers.

Situated by South Lake, the property sits close to Nanhu Place, a lakeside commercial hub that integrates historical architecture with modern shopping and dining options. Regional travel links connect the hotel to major commercial hubs such as Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou, all accessible within roughly an hour by car. The destination is also supported by high-speed railway and aviation networks.

The property combines regional Jiangnan design elements with contemporary architecture. It offers 241 guestrooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows showing city or garden views. Rooms feature premium bedding and Cosy Corners with sofa sleeper beds. Select rooms include private courtyards, and the hotel accommodates guests travelling with pets.

Dining options include The Kitchen, an all-day restaurant that serves global dishes alongside traditional Jiaxing flavours, featuring an outdoor terrace. Additionally, the Market operates 24 hours a day to provide snacks, drinks and travel essentials.

For corporate events, the hotel features a VIP room equipped with audiovisual technology for meetings, workshops and executive training sessions. Guests also have access to free Wi-Fi throughout the premises and a fitness centre with modern exercise machinery and large windows.

“We are delighted to welcome guests to Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu and introduce the Hyatt Place brand to Jiaxing, a city known for its rich cultural heritage, scenic waterways and vibrant local character,” said Katharine Li, General Manager of Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu. “From the beauty of South Lake to the charm of Yuehe Historic District, Jiaxing offers visitors a unique blend of history, culture and modern energy.
