Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu, debuting the brand in the historic water town of Jiaxing, China. The new 241-room hotel expands Hyatt's presence in the Yangtze River Delta region, offering modern rooms, 24-hour dining and business amenities near South Lake.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, has secured housing projects worth over 1.9 billion riyals during an official visit to China. The trip featured the signing of six major agreements alongside the launch of the Saudi-Chinese Contractors Forum. These deals form part of a broader bilateral strategy to construct 100,000 homes in the Kingdom by 2030.

ESR has partnered with two Chinese insurance giants to establish a RMB 1.6 billion income fund focused on prime logistics assets. The deal involves the recapitalisation of two multi-storey industrial properties in Shanghai and Suzhou, totalling 320,000 square metres. By retaining management of the portfolio, ESR continues its capital recycling strategy while meeting the high demand from domestic institutional investors for modern supply chain infrastructure.
Vietnam’s Sun Group has entered a US$2.3 billion strategic partnership with Chinese design firm Gold Mantis. The deal focuses on high-end interior architecture and technology for major national works. A primary objective is the development of infrastructure for the APEC 2027 Conference in Phu Quoc. This collaboration aims to bring international design standards and advanced building information modelling to Vietnam’s burgeoning construction sector.
The Ascott Limited achieved a record-breaking 2025 by signing 19,000 units across 102 new properties. This 27 per cent year-on-year growth saw the company expand into 10 new cities including Taipei and Wellington. The firm is focusing on an asset-light model with a heavy emphasis on resort signings and property conversions. Ascott now operates or is developing over 1,000 properties globally as it nears its S$500 million fee income target.
