Hilton has announced the debut of its Motto by Hilton brand in Australia with a new property in Sydney’s central business district. The signing of Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre marks the introduction of Hilton’s seventh brand to the Australian market. Scheduled to open in late 2027, the hotel will offer 152 rooms with a focus on flexible design and social communal spaces for travellers.
Marriott International has signed a landmark agreement with KS Hotels to introduce The Luxury Collection to Cambodia and Laos. The deal involves rebranding two storied properties, La Résidence Angkor and La Résidence Phou Vao, marking Marriott’s first hotel in Laos. Both heritage sites will undergo thoughtful upgrades before reopening in 2026 and 2027 to offer elevated luxury in these major UNESCO World Heritage destinations.
Marriott International has signed an agreement with PHC Queenstown Limited to debut the St. Regis brand in New Zealand. The luxury hotel is expected to open in late 2027 with 145 rooms and suites. Located in central Queenstown, the property will offer views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. This project marks the first St. Regis in the country and continues Marriott's expansion in the Pacific.
Minor Hotels has confirmed the signing of NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania. This 145-key property is scheduled to open in February 2030 and marks the brand's first entry into the country. Developed alongside Infinity Developments, the resort aims to offer a refined escape while maintaining the island's low-impact tourism character. The project follows the partnership's previous ultra-luxury development, Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences.
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Le Méridien Dehradun Resort & Spa in the Doon Valley. Situated along the Nun River, the 103 room property serves as a gateway to North India's hill stations. The resort incorporates local architectural influences and offers a range of wellness and culinary experiences designed to provide a refined retreat for travellers visiting the Himalayan foothills.
