Hilton has confirmed that its Motto by Hilton brand will arrive in Australia for the first time following the signing of a new property in the centre of Sydney. The Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre is expected to open in late 2027 on York Street. This development represents the seventh brand Hilton has brought to the country and continues a period of growth for the hospitality group in the region. The hotel is positioned to serve as a launchpad for visitors, located close to major transport links at Wynyard and Town Hall stations and within walking distance of the Harbour Bridge.
The 152-room property is being developed in partnership with Invictus Developments. Tushar Raniga, director, development, Hilton, Australasia, stated: “The location of Australia’s first Motto by Hilton property has been strategically selected in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant food scene, placing guests amongst some of the city’s most iconic experiences. Motto by Hilton is redefining the city stay, bringing a fresh, dynamic approach to hospitality in some of the world’s most renowned destinations. The signing of the Sydney property marks the next step in this evolution, grounded in Hilton’s legacy of delivering exceptional guest experiences”.
Designed with a focus on flexible urban living, the hotel will include 96 standard rooms, 14 bunk rooms, and 20 suites. To accommodate families and groups, 56 of these rooms will be able to interconnect. The lobby is intended to serve as a multipurpose space for remote working and social gatherings.
