Hospitality group Ennismore has agreed to a deal with Central Group Capital, the fund management arm of Central Group, to bring the luxury all-inclusive brand Rixos to Thailand.

Currently managed by Ennismore, the property will undergo an extensive overhaul before launching as Rixos Water World Phuket in early 2028. The project accelerates the operator’s Asian footprint following the signing of Rixos Phu Quoc in Vietnam.

Situated on the coast at Mai Khao in Thalang District, the development sits within easy reach of Bang Tao Beach, Patong Beach and Old Phuket Town. Once complete, the site will feature over 600 guestrooms and villas, alongside five dining venues serving international, Thai, Asian, Italian and Latin American food.

The centrepiece of the complex will be an integrated waterpark offering various pools and leisure attractions. The property also includes one of the largest banqueting and MICE facilities on the island to host business travellers and corporate gatherings.

On-site leisure amenities range from a Turkish-inspired spa to an Exclusive Sports Club with indoor and outdoor gyms and sports courts. Younger visitors will have access to dedicated Kids and Teens Clubs.

François Baudin, Chief Business Officer for Rixos and the ALL Inclusive Collection, said: “Bringing Rixos to Thailand marks an exciting moment for the brand as we continue expanding our luxury all-inclusive offering across Asia. With Rixos Water World Phuket and Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam opening later this year, we’re introducing a new audience to our immersive, experience-led approach that defines Rixos. From standout restaurants and bars to curated entertainment, sports and wellness programmes, and one of the industry’s most comprehensive kids and teens concepts, Rixos is designed around moments that bring people together. We’re excited to bring that energy to Thailand and the wider region.”

Soravit Chairoj, Managing Partner and Co-Head of Central Group Capital, said: “We believe Phuket remains one of Asia’s most compelling long-term tourism and hospitality markets. Rixos Water World Phuket will introduce a differentiated all-inclusive concept to Thailand and broaden the island’s appeal to families and international travellers seeking experience-led resorts.”

The property forms part of Ennismore’s ALL Inclusive Collection, joining a portfolio of more than 70 open and pipeline resorts representing over 30,000 rooms globally.
