Vietnamese conglomerate Sun Group has secured strategic agreements with US firms Visa, Marriott International and Boeing during an official state visit to New York. The partnerships span digital payment integration, hotel expansion and aerospace development. The moves follow Vietnam’s Politburo Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, which aims to position tourism as a primary economic driver and grow the sector to contribute 12 to 14 per cent of national GDP.
The UAE has recorded a sharp increase in commercial licences within its tourism, hospitality, and aviation sectors, reaching 39,546 by mid-September 2025.
