The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure in Sydney has granted planning consent for London Place, a 33-floor residential scheme in Campsie. Developed by UAE-based Arada, the AED560 million scheme represents the firm’s first approved project in Australia and the first of five planned developments across Sydney’s Inner Southwest region.

Architectural firm Woods Bagot designed the 33-storey building, which will contain 156 apartments. The accommodation mix spans two-, three- and four-bedroom layouts, including penthouse and sub-penthouse units on the higher levels, with 18 apartments allocated for affordable housing. Onsite facilities for residents will feature a gym, lounge, private dining area, music room, lap pool, spa, sauna, covered barbecue terrace and outdoor seating areas.

The approval process was completed in under four months following site rezoning, supported by State Significant Development status from the NSW Housing Delivery Authority. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with final completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2029. The site sits near the upcoming Campsie Metro Station, which will provide public transport connections to Sydney’s central business district in under 20 minutes.

Since entering the Australian market in 2024, Arada has built a domestic pipeline exceeding 6,000 homes. Globally, the company holds a project pipeline valued at AED 171 billion and over 70,000 homes across the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Australia and Syria.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “When we look at where to build, we are drawn to places with genuine potential: communities that are on the cusp of something special, where the right investment at the right moment can make a genuine difference. Campsie is that exactly that kind of community, and London Place is the first of five projects we are planning for Sydney’s Inner Southwest region, which together represent a long-term commitment to the area. Our ambition in Australia is significant and strategic, and this approval gives us real momentum as we bring our broader pipeline forward.”
