European real estate investment manager Redevco has completed the acquisition of a 560,000 sq ft logistics fleet site in Widnes, Cheshire.

Spanning 17 acres, the facility is fully let to Jaguar Land Rover and operated by DHL. The asset plays a critical role in automotive supply chain operations linked directly to Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood manufacturing plant in Northwest England.

The purchase grows Redevco’s logistics Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) platform to 5.2 million sq ft and €155 million assets under management across 11 properties. Built-to-suit specifications for the tenant cover 11 per cent of the total footprint, combining on-site warehousing with a dedicated vehicle maintenance unit.

Hugh Macdonald-Brown, Head of Redevco Logistics, said: “This acquisition is a strong addition to our growing logistics platform and underlines our conviction in the IOS sector. Assets of this scale, location and tenant quality are increasingly scarce, yet essential to the efficient functioning of supply chains. The Widnes facility combines strategic connectivity with a high-quality occupier, supporting long-term income resilience and future growth potential.”

Situated next to the Inland Rail Freight Terminal in Widnes, the facility offers direct access to key regional road and rail transport networks for fleet distribution. The deal reflects ongoing institutional investment into large-scale outdoor storage locations where strict planning restrictions limit local land supply.

Across the UK, Germany, Spain and Belgium, Redevco Logistics has now transacted over €500 million in IOS assets across more than 16 million sq ft. The firm continues targeting capital deployment into logistics, real estate debt and retail parks as part of its broader pan-European growth strategy.

Professional advisers on the transaction included real estate and legal firms Savills, Wildbrook, Air BC and Osborne Clarke.
