Bahrain has announced USD 3.89 billion in investment following the award of Golden Licenses to four large-scale projects at Gateway Gulf 2026. Spanning aviation logistics, real estate and technology, the initiatives feature investments from DHL, Capital A, Meliá in partnership with Infracorp, and Digital City Bahrain. The projects support long-term economic diversification, with non-oil activity representing approximately 86% of national GDP.
European real estate manager Redevco has acquired a 560,000 sq ft logistics facility in Widnes, Cheshire. Fully let to Jaguar Land Rover and operated by DHL, the 17-acre site supports car manufacturing operations at the nearby Halewood plant. The acquisition expands Redevco’s Industrial Outdoor Storage footprint to 5.2 million sq ft and €155 million in assets under management across 11 regional properties.
ASMO, a joint venture between Aramco and DHL, has broken ground on a massive 1.4 million square metre logistics hub at King Salman Energy Park. Developed in partnership with Arcapita, the facility aims to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s industrial supply chain. The site will feature smart technology and sustainable design, supporting the Kingdom's goal of becoming a premier regional trade gateway by 2030.
Aldar has acquired a major industrial and logistics portfolio in Abu Dhabi for AED 650 million from AD Ports Group. The deal involves 163,000 square metres of warehouse space within the KEZAD Al Ma’mourah cluster. This move brings Aldar’s total logistics portfolio to over 700,000 square metres as the company continues to capitalise on the high demand for trade and manufacturing hubs in the UAE.
