A landmark 300 million dollar premium hotel and residential development has been officially unveiled on the Georgian Black Sea coast. Archi, the leading real estate developer in Georgia, has partnered with international development firm NEXT and global hospitality brand Swissôtel to deliver the Swissôtel Kobuleti Beach Resort.
The launch was marked by an official ceremony in Kobuleti, where guests placed a symbolic capsule into the foundations to signal the start of construction work. High-profile figures attended the event, including Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili. Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, was also present, alongside Aron Libinson, Vice President of Operations at Accor for Georgia and the CIS region, and Jan Dijkema, Director of Chapman Taylor’s Madrid studio.
The multi-functional complex will feature three major buildings containing a hotel alongside residential and investment apartments. On-site amenities will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, conference facilities, a lobby, a lounge and six branded restaurants. A casino, a children’s entertainment zone and a wellness centre with a 3,000 square metre spa and fitness area are also part of the design.
Located a short distance from Batumi, the project is intended to integrate Kobuleti more closely into the primary tourism ecosystem of the region. Figures from the sector expect the scheme to bring top international development standards to the coastline. The build and subsequent operational phases are projected to generate significant employment and drive local economic growth.
Government officials noted that the scale of the resort highlights the rising confidence that international partners have in the economic stability and investment climate of Georgia. As expanding tourist numbers continue to fuel demand for high-end hospitality and housing, the project aims to support balanced economic development across the coastal regions of the country by combining leisure, premium hospitality and property asset value.
