Asia-Pacific real asset owner and manager ESR has named Reini Otter as its new Chief Executive Officer for the Australia and New Zealand region. Operating from Sydney, he takes on the responsibility of guiding the firm through its upcoming growth period across these markets. His core focus will involve deepening relationships with investors and clients, whilst driving the delivery of data centres and logistics real estate platforms.

The corporate move comes as ESR seeks to strengthen its executive structure to keep pace with rising customer demands. The business recently transitioned to private ownership following a privatisation process completed in 2025.

The incoming executive brings more than 25 years of professional experience across industrial and commercial property development throughout Australia and Europe. He joins the enterprise from Frasers Property Group, where he occupied numerous senior roles, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Property Industrial.

He takes over the regional reins from Phil Pearce, who originally established the Australia and New Zealand arm of the business back in 2018. Under his leadership, the division expanded significantly into a leading Pacific logistics platform. It now oversees A$22.9 billion in assets under management and holds a development pipeline valued at A$10.2 billion.

Following the executive shift, the former regional head has transitioned into the role of President. In this new capacity, he manages the day-to-day execution of corporate strategic priorities and operations. His duties include supervising regional leadership teams across the entire business network to maintain the group’s long-term commercial progression.
